ARTrageous HATS!!

Second grade has learned how to take two dimensional paper and turn it 3D! We used slick sticks and construction paper crayons to first create their name with line and pattern onto a long strip of paper. Next students bent, folded, twisted, and curled different pieces of cut paper, then glued them on to build up their 3D form. This lesson was a quick and easy way for students to understand the transformation from shape to form and 2D to 3D. The results are fantastic!
