7th/8th Grade- Rubric Point System

3 – Creativity/Originality

            0- Student shows no evidence of original thought/creativity
            1- Student shows little evidence of original thought/creativity
            2- Student shows evidence of original thought/creativity
            3- Student shows evidence of creativity/original thought, above and beyond the expected

3 – “Solid” Craftsmanship

0-    Student artwork displays weak craftsmanship
1-    Student artwork displays below average craftsmanship
2-    Student artwork displays average craftsmanship
3-    Student artwork is “solid”, above average craftsmanship

3- Effort

0-    Student demonstrated minimal to no effort throughout the duration of lesson
1-    Student demonstrated small amounts of effort throughout the duration of lesson
2-    Student demonstrated effort that was required to complete the artwork
3-    Student demonstrated effort beyond what was required throughout the duration of lesson

3- Understanding Concepts/Reflection

0-    Student reflection shows no evidence of understanding vocabulary/concepts taught
1-    Reflection shows little evidence of understanding

0-    Student did not complete/turn in final artwork
